Excellent location, very close to the ancient city. It was very safe too, as I was traveling solo. The staff was very kind and friendly. Rooms are very clean.

We had a lovely stay at Tishan thanks to the wonderful staff. Excellent location away from the busy road but still very close to the ancient city of Pollonawura. The absolute highlight is the (disco)pool, which our kids thoroughly enjoyed. Good breakfast, four-star hotel-like service and nice rooms. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone.

The location was superb. Very close to the main road. Also very close to the Minneriya reservoir and the canal, bordering a lovely paddy field. spacious, comfortable and clean. Extremely good value for the money. friendly and supportive staff (owners). We got only breakfast from them, which was very good and good price as well. Ample parking space and space to hang around.

Good location next to the lake, close to the main road so very easy to catch a bus, ideal for exploring the ancient city by bike. Next to that, Sanka is a very caring and communicative host. He arranged an elephant safari for us at a very good price, and it was an amazing experience! Would recommend if you enjoy being close to nature and are looking for a convenient place to visit the ancient city from.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend if its in your budget. Pool was fantastic. General ambiance of the hotel was lovely. The staff were fantastic, we had a tour of the property on arrival and were shown the queens suit (with the golden bathtub!) Which we really enjoyed. My aircon didn't work in my room and I was immediately upgraded to a deluxe suite (very nice!). Breakfast was good as well. Location was ideal, very close to the ruins and beautifully located over the lake.
