Ideal location for our ten-day holiday focussing on Zermatt and the surrounding area. Warm welcome from the owner Anita and comprehensive tour round the apartment, in German. Just the right size with enough rooms, each of which were a good size. Well equipped kitchen of which we made full use, so not a single, very expensive, meal out. Clean and quiet. The local church bell seems to ring day and night, but at a reduced volume when dark, it seemed. Anyway, the ringing didn't bother us at all. Great view from the balcony of snow-capped 3000m peaks. An unexpected bonus was the nearby cable car station with the ride to magnificent views and higher-level walks. Yes, the drive up from the valley floor with those zig zag bends might be scary for some, but I actually found it fun. We didn't see much of Anita (or Emil), but she was there when needed and supplied us with some unexpected, but very welcome, home produce. The wine, chocolates and sweets waiting for us on the kitchen table, as mentioned in previous reviews, were a lovely touch; the wine was rather better than the replacement bottle I bought at the supermarket. A lovely place, just right for a relaxing and peaceful stay. We intend to return.
