We loved the rustic charm of this traditional place. It was immaculate and very well designed. A lot of attention to detail has gone into it , with fresh milk and cakes awaiting us, great espresso coffee and basic condiments like salt, pepper and olive oil We loved the Bramley soap, shampoo, body wash and hand cream all free Its location is perfect - straight across the road to access the moor and a great gator pub Beautiful bed linen - couldn’t of asked for more, there was even a inglenook fireplace with free kindling, logs and fire starters with a range of board games Great place and lovely seating area outside for our breakfast We hired bikes and took off on to the granite way which is also just across the road

    Great location in a pretty village, surrounded by walks for all abilities. Perfect base for exploring the area, seaside, moorlands, woods and forests, granite way. Townend Barn is a home from home with lovely hosts just on the doorstep for help and advice. Perfect stay in Lydford.

    A wonderful place to stay both from perspective of location as well as the accommodation. Beautifully decorated little barn with absolutely everything that is needed. All private as well. Nice enclosed garden that kept our puppy safe and happy. Favourite features were log burner and wooden floor upstairs. Perfectly clean as well and even had luxury bed sheets.
