The property is really well kept and spotlessly clean. All of the rooms are spacious, loads of seating in the kitchen diner. A separate living room with Sky TV, Netflix and an XBox. Great Wifi signal. Outdoor seating in the back of the house which looks out across the crop fields and beyond. There is a large fridge freezer, washing machine etc, tons of towels and bedding so you don’t need to bring anything with you. Tea, Coffee sugar etc were provided which was really appreciated. Hot water and heating fully available, the house is cosy warm on a cold day. Our hosts live just down the road and made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed and appreciated the lovely accommodation and enjoyed a relaxing holiday.

Thistledown is like a home from home. It has everything and more that you’d need while you’re there. Pristine clean too. Raymond is very kind and so approachable. They make a great team. Can’t recommend this place enough. My second time staying here and if I return to Ireland I’ll be back.

Great location, everything you need in a holiday cottage and more. Very clean and even scones as we arrived! ( which were delicious! ) definitely will be back for another visit.

The host Barbara was most welcoming and laid back, the accommodation was spotless with large dining area for our own use, our rooms all en suite, comfy, beds, great veiws from rooms, large table outside where we sat outside had few refreshments before heading into town for another few refreshments, would highly recommend this property only wish we could have stayed longer.

Spacious, lots of character. Had everything 3 cyclists needed. Emily, Frank and Bernie could not have been more helpful. After 8 nights at various b&bs from Ennis to Ballycastle we liked this the most. Got Patrick from Tea by the Sea to deliver great burgers for dinner
