Gorgeous cottage in a stunningly picturesque location. Stayed for 5 nights over Christmas and it was perfect. The host welcomed us with some cake, chocolates, eggs and other supplies in the kitchen to get us started when we arrived. The house is spotless clean. The electric heating works very well so the house was never cold despite the weather outside and the little wood burner fireplace made it very cosy over the Christmas nights.

The Farm Cottage is set in Athy, 21 km from Kildare Town Heritage Centre, 21 km from Carlow Courthouse, and 21 km from Carlow Town Hall.

The property was superb. Very cosy and had all the mod con’s needed. Dolores and John were extremely friendly and helpful and even had scones for us on arrival and came over to meet us. The icing on the cake was their beautiful dogs who are so friendly. It was top class from start to finish and couldn’t recommend highly enough. John and Maura, Leitrim.

The location is perfect for the area, easy reach to lots of interesting places, nice and quiet and at a good price, loved the ducks, we should have asked about buying some duck eggs, the owner was very friendly and welcoming.
