Cottage is very cosy and warm, even in very cold winter nights. The host is very helpful. Location is very isolated and yet not very far from Selfoss (around 20 minutes) that has everything.

The house is directly next to the Golden Circle, so a really good place to stay. You don't notice the road though. It is a very cozy house, nicely furnitured and very comfy. The key was in a lockbox. We had to extend our stay because on the day we wanted to leave the roads were not passable, luckily it was possible and the handling was easy. We also got lucky, it's a great place to watch Northern Lights. Also it was a new experience to sit in the middle of winter in a Hot Tub on a terrace and enjoy the snowy landscape.
