The place was nice and cosy. Not too far from the Badulla railway station, either. The owner was a very nice lady, and she helped us out with a few things. Beds weren't too bad, there was a lovely living room, and the weather wasn't as cold as expected. The owners husband helped us locate a tuktuk on our way back to the station the next day. Nice people, good location and we really enjoyed our stay there.

Amazing apartment attached to the historical bungalow. We were very well looked after by the house keepers, great dinner and huge breakfast. The gardens are lovely and the location is good for the Pekoe trail, quiet and peaceful.

Our host supplied us with whatever we needed and was always availble on Whatsup for us to contact about anything related to our room and questions about Ella in general. Amazing place, thanks to Lal property manager for all the help and for the exceptional service highly recommended, its close to Ella but away from too many tourists. There is a tv with English movies, washing machine and cooking facilities we had a great time and would stay again, thanks Lal!

Excellent property with excellent host. Who messaged me a day earlier to inform about room will be ready. Followed up until I come. Offered drinks, given umbrella to ensure we don’t get wet while visiting Ella. Excellent breakfast was prepared. Also follow up after I checked out to ensure everything was all right.

This place really blew our mind ! at start we didn't know we had to hike down the place to reach the room , quite scared at first but when we saw the view my God !! everything was just worth it ! The host ,the family were the sweetest , we stayed there for 3 days and we felt we were staying with a family. On our second day the pipeline broke due to sand erosion but the family late at night fixed it up by themselves. This you don't even see in any 5 star hotels. Tuk tusk would climb up the hill to reach us to our room and were easily available. Go to this place if you are looking for adventure and peace, if you are someone who loves luxury this place isn't for you. But it's one of a kind experience. You also need to be physically fit to climb up and down to the room and also carry some salt or Leech repellents since there are leeches since its closer to the waterfall.
