we really enjoyed staying at that nice cottage in Ella, the view from the room is stunning and beautiful view which refresh us eveyday, the host of that cottage is so gentle and friendly, she is so carefull for everything to make your staying perfect, the breakfast,lunch and dinner with view is just so delicious and she cooks very well, we enjoyed dinner and lunch so much, everytime we ate à lot, she is so helpfull too , she came with us to the bus stand to help to ride the bus to go to galle. we defenetly recommande that cottage , not far from the Ella city, hot water and confortable bed everything is perfect, the high quality of price. we would like to thank to the host for everything. we would like to come back again and stay at this beautiful cottage.

The host was the nicest person you can meet! Always with a smile, super humble and helpful. Goes well above and beyond! Cottage has everything and super clean! Really super clean! Very nice small entrance and complete peace for your stay! Home made breakfast by his wife was sooo amazing too! He really made us feel liek home eventough we stayed only a day. Also he was super flexible with checkin, we arrived early - No problem and no extra charge! Nice view as well! Not to the Ella side but still amazing view! 😊

Everthing was great! It was a Oasis of well-being in the middle of the nature. Everything is quiet and the view is a dream. The terrace with the pool and sunbeds was the absolute highlight. The staff takes care of everything and also carries your luggage up. There is also a main pool, which could also only be used by us. In the evening, they cooked just for us and we enjoyed the meal on our terrace. Breakfast was also very tasty and definitely sufficient. The Tea Cabin is beautifully furnished and clean with a view of nature. It was an unforgettable experience! Thank you for everything!

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and always went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. everyone was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The accommodation itself was top-notch—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail, from the bedding to the amenities, reflected a commitment to quality and comfort. It felt more like a home away from home than just a hotel rooms.definitely we will back.

We truly enjoyed our stay and felt welcome and safe throughout our visit. The house is spacious, and offers beautiful views of the surrounding hills, including the Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery. The hosting family is incredibly kind, and the meals they prepared were a real highlight — delicious, plenty, and made with great care. The location is a bit remote, so occasionally tuktuk drivers would only take us to the main road rather than directly to the house. However, you can join the trail to the wonderful Ella Rock hike close to the house half way, so you can be there at sunrise more easily. Overall, a wonderful stay with warm hospitality and great access to nature. Highly recommended!

We had an excellent stay that exceeded our expectations. The chalet was clean. The host family was super nice and helpful. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka. Also wifi was the strongest. The night in the jungle is magical, you can watch the fireflies from the upper floor. The location was good, 20 min. to the city along the tracks. The family also helped us to rent a scooter for a reasonable price. We highly recommend to those who want to escape chaos of the city.

Our three-day stay at Walaa Kulu Villas was nothing short of exceptional. The villa itself is stunning — from the breathtaking views over the tea plantation to the beautiful pool, stylish interiors, and peaceful surroundings. It truly has everything you could wish for, and if by any chance you’re missing something, just ask Namal. He and his team took such incredible care of us throughout our stay. The food deserves a special mention: the chef is outstanding. We enjoyed some of the best meals we’ve had in Sri Lanka, all freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The location is fantastic as well — only a 10-minute drive from Ella, with a smooth and easy road leading up. The villa sits above a tea plantation, right next to a tea factory, and we loved spending a morning touring the factory, learning about the tea-making process, and even making our own tea. Overall, we simply didn’t want to leave. Walaa Kulu Villa is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and be looked after by genuinely caring and wonderful people.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Nature Lodge Bandarawela! The place exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s a perfect home away from home with everything thoughtfully provided. The lodge comes with a fully equipped kitchen—complete with kitchenware, spices, and all the essentials, making it easy and convenient to prepare meals. There’s a cozy living area with a TV, fridge, and a comfortable sofa bed, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. The bedroom is spacious, featuring a double bed and a bunk bed, perfect for couples, families or groups. The bathroom has hot water, and the entire property is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. A special thanks to Mr. Lal, who made our stay extra special. Every morning, he served a delicious breakfast right on time, and was always kind, helpful, and ready to assist with anything we needed. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and we truly appreciated the peace of mind provided by the CCTV cameras around the property—it's very secure, so there’s no need to worry. Overall, this place is absolutely worth the money. It’s a peaceful, clean, and welcoming environment. We highly recommend Nature Lodge to anyone visiting Bandarawela!

Gorgeous cabins just outside Ella town for an excellent price. Staff and owner are amazing and so kind - they catered to our every need and took good care of us. The views are stunning, the cabins have every luxury you need (including Netflix!) and we loved the private pool and cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was also delicious!
