One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! An absolutely incredible guesthouse with the most lovely hosts, and crazy good value for money. We had a beautifully decorated room, and there were several hangout spots both indoors and outdoors that you were welcome to spend time in. The breakfasts/dinners are served al fresco under a pergola overlooking the valley with rice paddies and beautiful birdsong. One of the absolute highlights was the free cooking class to make your dinner - we made 4-5 different curries with our rice and curry order, with the most delightful chef patiently waiting for us to weakly shred fresh coconut to make sambal!! About a 10-15 min tuktuk ride into town for an explore, which was very reasonably priced. I'm so glad we stayed here a bit away from the centre of town rather than in the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The hosts are also so welcoming and lovely, and speak excellent English. They also helped organise transport for us to Nuwara Eliya to our next stay. This was a genuinely edenic experience and we would absolutely come stay here again on a future visit to Sri Lanka.

The house standard is higher than in any other location we've stayed in Sri Lanka. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The house is very well-maintained. The food was wonderful, service great. We had a very relaxing stay. It's a great base for exploring the region.

Great owner! Comfortable bed, big and bright room. Hot water, good pressure, very clean. Complimentary tea. Kettle, glasses and water in the room. One of the best rooms we had in Sri Lanka! It might be tricky to find it but the view from the window is worth it.

Fabulous little piece of history we stayed in an enormous room Rose. Pristine gardens, infinity pool, that was very cold, but with views to die for... The staff were lovely and very attentive. Breakfast was great we only had dinner once and it was also nice. The bungalows are up in the mountains it's a 20 mins tuk tuk drive down to Kandy. So it's good to plan day trips down and stay the whole day if you don't want to be travelling up and down. Beautiful hotel highly recommended if you don't mind paying a little extra.

We had an amazing stay at the villa! It’s located within a stunning Victory community , offering both tranquility and beautiful surroundings. The architecture of the villa is impressive and adds to the overall charm. It’s equipped with all the comforts and amenities you could need for a relaxing stay. The chef and caretaker were exceptional — both were attentive, friendly, and ensured that all our needs were met. the host, was very responsive and provided clear answers to all of our questions. I absolutely loved everything about this place! The location is perfect, surrounded by nature. The food prepared by the owner was delicious, and it made the experience even more special. The house and rooms were spotless and comfortable. Overall, it was an amazing stay, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The host was available at all time we needed him. We felt like home❤️Grateful and lucky to have stayed here. Highly recommend!

Everything is very good. Easily reachable by public bus, clean and relaxing room and very very very hospitable host. Shawn makes sure you are ok, gives advice about what to see, what to do, train, buses, basically you have any questions just ask him.

This pristine two-story house is very spacious with a flight of stairs leading to the bath, bedroom and sitting area. The ceiling fan was adequate on most nights. The bedding is very clean and the bed comfortable. The large kitchen has everything you'll need to prepare meals. The location is in the town of Kundasale, a quiet, residential area, about a 20 minute drive to Kandy, depending on the traffic. There are an assortment of shops and restaurants about a 10-minute walk from the house. There are tuk tuk transport drivers available near the main road. Buddhi is the consummate host taking great care in giving excellent recommendations in Kandy and Kundasale. You'll be safe and in good hands at Liv House. I highly recommend this property.
