Elanda is an amazing host. The cottage exceeded our expectations. Air-conditioning, fire place, electric blankets on the beds and farm fresh eggs supplied. The hot tub and outdoor braai offer a fantastic entertainment area with spectacular views. Highly recommend this lovely cottage with its great location and luxury amenities.

Lovely house with really thoughtful touches. Traveling with kids it was lovely to have a bath, washing machine, every appliance and utensil you could think of needing on holiday. It was lovely to have farm animals around - sheep greeting us daily. Beautiful nature - almond trees, dam, birds. Got to see a caracal and a kudu outside the property. The property is surrounded by electric fencing to keep the baboons away - that also kept other wild animals away. So you could be around nature but not in a threatening way. We were there over a cold rainy period - the wood-fired hot tub and fireplace were very welcoming! The hostess (Elanda) communicates with guests really well and really lets on feel that she’s just a WhatsApp message away! She checked in on WhatsApp from time to time to see if we needed anything.

Our team had a great 6-night stay at Matjiesvlei Retreat in Calitzdorp from March 31 to April 6. The location was peaceful and beautiful, perfect for a relaxing escape. Our host, Marieta was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The Swartskaap/Blacksheep accommodation was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The area is truly spectacular and quiet. The cottage is so comfortable and had everything we needed. We did the fountain walk nearby and it was beautiful. One can see game playing from the stoep! Lots of beautiful birds. I would definitely visit again.
