It’s so secluded and nice. The owner tries her best really well and she’s the most friendly host you will meet. The has a spectaculair eye for detail. There are plants, animals, sounds of the jungle: everything you would expect given the pretty location, we loved it and would recommend!

Sharon and Eric were excelent hosts! There were two sloths in their garden . Breakfast was Great! Room was very nice, tidy and clean. There was a microwave and a fridge in the room. Courtesy coffe at anytime. They provide you with towels for the beach that was very near. We could left our rented car at their place while we traveled a few days to Bocas del Toro in Panama.

There was also an opportunity to rent bikes, free of charge, which was a great addition to our stay. We had a fantastic time staying at New Caribe Point. Definitely recommend! :)

Villa Piňa dorada dependencia del hotel Casa Merlin enjoys a location in Puerto Viejo, just less than 1 km from Cocles Beach and a 11-minute walk from Jaguar Rescue Center. The owner Charlene has a lovely apartments. Our was beautiful, large, confortable, clean, the kitchen is well eqquiped. There is an hamaca to lay down and a lovely terrace to relax. Next to our apartment we also have a play ground for kids, we were travelling with kids and that was just perfect. We also hired bikes with seats , the owner helped us out to arrange the booking, she also fixed a problem with a bike that we have straight away;) Near by the minivan plyas, beaches (play cocles, chiquita)and we could also ride to Playa Uvita. Near by restaurants, supermarkets. She also washed our clothes and dry it with 6 $. We had a lovely time in here..just in the middle of the jungle..on our way we saw many animals. Thanks Charlene!!!

The host, Monica, was very helpful and even arranged a dentist appointment for us when my wife broke a tooth. The great thing is the location, right on the edge of the national park and less than a 5 minute walk into Cahuita. We were lucky to see 15-20 howler monkeys in the garden as well as capuchin monkeys and an agouti. We actually saw more wildlife while chilling out at the property than we saw in the national park.
