We thought about other areas of the island, but we decided on here instead. We are so glad we did because it was way more private than the other areas of the island and still within a 10-15 minute walk to shops and restaurants.

Location was amazing, very close to a small traditional town with restaurants and shops. The set-up for the family was great. The jacuzzi was a very nice addition. Beds were very very comfortable. Parking was very useful. The check in was smooth, and they cleaned the room every day with fresh towels and linen. We loved everything about it. Thank you !

You would definitely need a car here to be able to visit Oia and Fira easily. Also Kamari was actually our favourite place, had a lovely beach, shops and restaurants.
Megalokhori itself is very small village, it’s worth a little stroll down to. Also lovely homemade lemonade served in the little bar there.

Loved Megalochori: little beautiful village with its colorful houses, churches and little back alley streets. It was as if I was walking in a big painting or Theatre set. Met many friendly people; visited cozy restaurants and enjoyed tasty meals. Hope to visit many more times in future!

The property is absolutely immaculate!!
The property is absolutely immaculate!! Romantic & Relaxaing!!
Complimentary breakfast was excellent, too!!
Public Transportation not easily accessable - eventhough the bus stop is only a 3 minutes walk. The sidewalk isn't user friendly - very Narrow & lots of outgrown weeds. You can take a bus to Fira from that bus stop - just do it in the morning - at night that area isn't walkable - from Megalochori to Fira is only 1,60 euros. However, from Fira took Uber back to hotel is about 36 Euros! After you arrived Fira bus station, you can take another bus to Oia for another 1,60 euros.
We shouldn't have booked a split level room because there's a steep stairs to climb up to your bed :(

Megalochori is just a small village 5 kms south of the city centre Fira. It is less touristic and will suit people seeking for accommodation that is not so busy and hectic. It has some good restaurants and even a winery that sells fantastic red and rosè wine.

The village is very traditional and much less touristy than the other towns. There is a good selection of restaurants (7/8 maybe) and all of them are lovely, only 1 or 2 serve breakfast though. There are some lovely vineyards in the village too, some cooking classes and horse riding excursions. It's a small village so not huge amounts to do so more of a relaxing base from which to explore the Island. There was a small shop although the opening times were sporadic so we stocked up at the larger supermarkets just out of the village.
We hired a car to get around and there is free parking in the village, the island is very small so it only takes 40 minutes to get to the other side, I think the local busses call through too although we didn't use these.
We went with our 2-year-old who loved the local playground, although there were a lot of cobbles (as with all the villages) which made the buggy difficult.

This town was a great location on the island.
This town was a great location on the island. Not to close to the over touristed towns but easy access to them. The Town has everything you need, good restaurants, wineries and the best bakery in the island.
Greek little village, with lots of restaurants and a nice cafe/restaurant with live music every evening
Our villa was much nicer than on the photos, two large bedrooms with large double beds and our own private pool with 2 large sunbeds and a terrace with a hammak on the top of the house
We had a fantastic relaxed time with my daughter
Close to the airport and all other atractions you would like to see in Santorini
We definitely will come back here
Amazing place close to Megalochori. We couldn’t choose a better place, the best I’ve seen so far in Santorini. Beautiful outdoor area with direct view on the caldera / sunset. If you want to relax you will find here your quiet spot with private pool and sound of the wind on the grapes leaves.
The suite was perfectly decorated and very comfortable, the bed quality remarkable. The staff has been very kind and helpful. Thanks a lot!
Location was beautiful. We actually chose to watch the sunset from the hotel instead of Fira because it was that stunning. It is quiet and out of the way, which was really nice for us. We got a quad and explored the island each day but after the touristy mayhem of the bigger towns it was really nice to come back to the peaceful Artemis Suites. Plus the small town of megalochori is only a short walk away if you need anything
Huge rooms, and great space. The location is beautiful in the center of Santorini and beautiful village of megalachori. The host Adriana was unbelievable, super responsive and helpful. Her brother Lambros was also very helpful during our check in and gave us fantastic recommendations to do in the city. There amazing cafes around the hotel and one of the best sunsets in santorini 5 mins away called the heart of santorini
We stayed at room with sea view and hot tube. Everything was perfect. Amazing views at day time and gorgeous sunsets in the evening. Tasty breakfast with beautiful views. Friendly staff. Very quiet location. One of the best family hotels in Santorini worth 10 sras of 10. We recomend this cozy hotel not even for other travelers but we will also recomend it for our family and friends.
Elements Suites are beautifully decorated. Its more like a villa, mine was Water, a 2 storey Villa with a bedroom upstairs and 2 singles downstairs.
Kitchen was nice with a Nespreso machine and kettle.
Separate Lounge had a smart TV.
Nice quiet area of Santorini short 5 min walk to bus stop and a great bakery not too far as well at the same spot as the bus stop.
This boutique hotel is located at the caldera side where at this time of the year the sunset was beautiful. Location is also less touristic and very guiet but very romantic for couples. The staff especially the manager Ms. Chris was very helpful and gave us lots of tips about the surroundings. Overall our stay at Grand view hotel was fantastic.
Located next to Pyrgos (great town to visit), very friendly staff and perfect facilities. The view on the caldera is amazing and each room has its privacy. Renting a car from the reception is very convenient and cheap, Kamari beach is only at 10 minutes, Thira in 15min and Oia in 40. Perfect stay to relax and enjoy Santorini.
The Villa is an architectural gem, inside and out. Everything from decoration, landscaping to linens is 1st class all the way. The property overlooks the most beautiful view of the caldera and the sunsets are incredible. I highly recommend this property to make your trip to Santorini one to remember!
The peacefulness of the place with exceptional views of the islands! The place sits on top of a cliff with an uninterrupted view of the ocean and the sunset along with a nice, comfy room to stay in. Dimitrios is a wonderful host, and we would go back to the same place if we ever travel to Santorini!
The hotel has a wonderful view on the cliffs and the sea, the sunsets are amazing. Breakfasts are tasty and the room is clean and nice. Additionally, there are steps nearby heading down to a small stone beach, which feels cosy and almost private
Very well decorated and laid out. The host was super accommodating and helpful. Khania went above and beyond to answer any questions and help us navigate Santorini and the Villa. Love that this Villa comes as two villas with a shared courtyard.
The location of the hotel is perfect.
5 min from the hotel is the local bus station that can take you to Fira or to Acrotiri and back
The breakfast was great with many selections.
The room was big with plenty of space
and natural light.
What I've to say.. this hotel is so beautiful that I forgot to visit Santorini and I stayed only in the hotel. The view is a dream and the swimming pools as well <3
I will come back 4sure the soon is possible
Thanks to the brilliant design; this hotel gives you a unique old heritage experience, that cannot be found in any other hotel.
Hotel staff was exceptionally great, specially Mr. Tasos.
We recommend Soil of Sun as a best villa for your stay in Santorini :) everything was perfect, the staff was very helpful and friendly:) breakfast fresh and delicious :)
